The challenge

Black Star was the original name for the fledgling 200° Coffee company. I was asked by the entrepreneur owners to produce logo and packaging designs for their new venture into coffee roasting. They later became very successful with their 200° café chain and as roasted coffee suppliers. 

The solution

Several options were explored and one in particular was pursued. However, the concepts were put on hold while their roasting business gained traction. After their brand rename to 200°, one of my designs, a simple stamp concept on brown paper, became the foundation for the identity they have today.
