The challenge

Frankie & Benny’s Restaurants produce puzzle books to hand out to kids eating at their restaurants. The key characters are ‘Dino’, ‘Nibbles’ and ‘Sketch’. The original characters were quite crude in appearance and needed updating and refining. 

The solution

A number of issues were pointed out and addressed such as a scruffy and lethargic appearance, questionable temperament messages and anatomical mistakes. 

The characters were made more lively, animated, child-friendly and with less ambiguous expressions while still being recognisable from their previous versions. A range of poses were produced to be used in their vast range of puzzle books and for other marketing purposes.
