This device is like a pair of sticky fingers and facilitates easy opening of plastic bags. The intention was for this to be sold at supermarket checkouts and allows for attaching to a keyring.
Branding was required as well as surface graphics for a vacuum sealed, point-of-purchase card .
As the device was likened to a pair of sticky fingers, a gecko character was created to communicate this idea and to attract attention. A simple logotype was designed with a subtle suggestion of a bag opening in the descender of the ‘g’. Surface graphics were kept as simple possible to convey the product’s purpose at a glance.
